Documentary idea
The idea is about mental health in teenagers and young adults its effects on life and how it is become very common in the young people it will feature interviews in young people and if possible a interview with a medical person
the main focus will be how common it is young people the effect with family and how the pressure of the world of which we live has create such social demand to be normal
1 in ten people suffer from some sort of Depression before the age of 18,for many years it went un noted mainly put down a mood swig/phase and is increase since 2004 as social demands
one in 8 young adults suffer depression
my documentary is of to show some of the reasons before the rise how it become a main stay and almost normalise in many friend groups and what can be done to help these it will interview these people and get the view from the people
and all so get a doctors view on it from a medical stand point i will use mainstream music to relate to the viewer and the subject matter being young adults and teenagers

To whom it may concern
I am a student documentary maker from York College who is currently producing a documentary about metal health and depression in young adults and teenagers. I sincerely believe this is an issue which needs awareness of in modern society. As part of the film I am keen to film an interview with a medical practitioner to hear their thoughts on this topic.I formally write this email to you to ask for a short interview to discuss your thoughts on this subject.
This interview will only take a maximum of ten minutes at your surgery with the final project being shown to my tutors and classmates at the end of term.
Your involvement would be very appreciated in this project. For anymore details or to discus the project in more detail please feel free to contact me on this address or my media tutor Richard Greatrex on rgreatrex@yorkcollege.ac.uk.
Your sincerely
Max Lawson

research
the plan is in view friends on get their thoughts and how mental heath they will cut scenes to a over voice telling how metal heath is on the increase how its affect
the will be dark scenes which feature self harm
the opening scene will be one of a stretch of the stretch of putting the stereotypical funny view of young adults then i load of white pills will come down to form a fade to a girl self harming
then the following sequence will intivews with friends and doctors
the end scene will feature the song listed above with it raining in a dark place and the other voice saying
"there views on health
in your opinion why is mental health on the rise?
how has mental health effect you ?
what can be do to those who are effect ?
why has it been on the rise ?
how has it effect you ?
how has it effect people around you ?
mental has effect young people since there has been young people,at first it was mainly dismissed as young people being moody and attention seeking as the rise of the definition of the teenagers grow throughout the years.Society began to understand depression and with knowledge of meant health there is now many help to reach of any young person yet with this help depression is still on the rise.with sociality and media defining what a normal person should be and when people fall short of this they often feel less of a person and the swirl of depression begins
sociality needs to help young people understand to be who they are and not feel the need to conform to stereotypes.
in society depression has been normalise with nearly everyone having one friend who has self harmed.
it has become diluted within friend groups as "Just one of them things".
it needs to be seen as something what it should not be put up with and everyone be there for each other and if we all see that that is ok to be deferent from everyone eels.
there is no "normal " be strange be weird be who every you want to be embrace it.embrace yourself as yourself !
